Halle was a student in the Ananda Bhakti Hatha 200 Hour Yoga Teacher Training Program. Halle attended her first class at Prana Yoga and Dance in 2013 when she heard of the stress relief that yoga provides. Since then, she has fallen in love with the practice, and it has become her lifestyle. “My mat became the only place where I could access my authentic self. Escaping from my noisy mind for an hour a day did wonders for me,” says Halle.
Halle comes from a background in gymnastics and was immediately drawn to the benefits of yoga for athletes. She coached high school cheerleading for four years and still teaches tumbling classes ranging from toddler tumbling to advanced levels. Because she understands firsthand the strains that sports put on the body and mind, Halle loves using yoga to help athletes relieve these stresses to create healthier, more balanced lives. Halle is trained in Classic Sivananda Yoga, Vinyasa Yoga, Rocket Yoga, and Kids Yoga.
Halle is a certified Kids Yoga Instructor and teaches multiple weekly kids yoga and tween yoga classes. She has taught kids yoga at local high schools and libraries and developed and led her own Creative Mindfulness Kids Camps. In Halle's kids and tween classes, she teaches different breathing exercises, meditation techniques, and of course yoga poses just like a regular yoga class BUT dresses it up a little differently with games, crafts, visualizations, etc. to make it fun, accessible, and engaging. Every class will be a little different with a different theme that teaches kids how to take yoga off the mat. Halle's goal in class is to give kids the tools to help create mindful movement, connection to breath, and healthy ways for expression to help them grow in mindfulness as they journey through life.
Halle’s enthusiastic energy uplifts her students and makes her classes light and inviting. She believes firmly in the idea that if you can breathe, you can practice yoga. “If my passion for yoga can spark an interest in even one person, then I will be able to help in the same way my first yoga teacher helped save me.”
